These are defined as weighing under 100 lbs (45 kg).
Currently we have aircraft in 3 weight classes:
- SPARTAN Heavy Lifter (Under 50 lbs - 22 kg)
- Super SPEAR (Under 10 lbs - 4.5 kg)
- Original SPEAR (Under 4.4 lbs - 2 kg)
UA Vision has design, prototype and manufacturing resources capable of both traditional, composite, and foam construction or hybrid construction. Our Super SPEAR is a hybrid Carbon Fiber shell over foam core lifting body that weighs 8lbs at launch with 1000 in² wing area.
Rapid prototyping is available to transition from drawing to CAD to foam mockup to molding or laser cut components in short time spans. All of these capabilities are located within a 10 mi radius of the UA Vision main site.
A Midwest location permits UA Vision to operate at lower costs, which translates to very reasonable product pricing.
UA Vision, founded in the shadow of Wright Patterson Air Force Base, is a member of a number of Dayton, Ohio area consortiums that gives us access to advanced sensor developments, advanced materials developments, payload design, aerodynamic design, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
